The Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina has successfully implemented the project “Preparing SMEs for the introduction of quality standards with the aim of internationalization” within which 19 export-oriented SMEs were prepared for certification in quality standards: 7 companies for BAS EN ISO 50 001, 4 companies for BAS EN ISO 14001, and 8 companies for the CE mark.
The project activities have created the conditions for aligning SMEs with the requirements of international markets and increasing competitiveness, as well as contributing to the reduction of operating costs and negative environmental impacts.
The total value of the project is BAM 220,083 with grant funds amounting to BAM 214,933. The implementation of the project is part of the efforts to improve dimension 7 (standards and technical regulations) and dimension 10 (internationalization of SMEs) of the SBA profile of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The project was implemented with the support of the project “Advanced Implementation of the Small Business Act in BiH2EU – SBA in BiH2EU,” implemented by Eda in cooperation with the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA and financed by Sweden.
