EDA LLC was established in 2012, as an additional capacity developed in the form of small commercial, for-profit entity, efficiently complementing Eda’s potentials and efforts in cases where engagement of a commercial entity was more suitable. EDA LLC is primarily focusing on service contracts delivery, mostly through arrangements with reputable international development organizations like GIZ, Helvetas, UNDP etc., or with local partners on different levels (local, entity and state level), focusing on support to SMEs, employment, innovations, digitalization, financial sector, export etc.

    Assessment and mapping of financial support instruments for cultural and creative industries in B&H Identifying challenges and constraints that cultural and creative industries in B&H face in accessing finance. A combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods was used, encompassing private enterprises, citizen associations, as well as public enterprises and institutions in the field of cultural and creative industries on one side, and banks and microcredit organizations on the other. Findings and recommendations have been prepared to enhance financial support for cultural and creative industries in B&H, along with infographics that can be used for educational purposes in this field.     Study on place marketing for investors The study includes a theoretical overview of foreign direct investments, a description of investor behavior models, and the identification of the relative importance of specific factors based on which investors make decisions regarding the choice of a location for investment. It provides an overview of the trends in foreign direct investments in B&H and their structure, as well as a comparative analysis of the offerings of the Brčko District for investors in relation to competitive locations. The study provides an answer to the question in which segments of the offer for investors and its promotion Brčko District B&H has a comparative advantage that should be used, what it needs to improve in the coming period and what are the prerequisites for that.     MarketMakers – Helvetas Project, IT training scholarships in B&H Programme Raising the competences of young and mostly unemployed persons with the aim of employment in the fastest growing sector – the IT industry. Eda, in cooperation with partners, carried out research and the selection of priority IT trainings (in accordance with the needs of the IT sector and the preferences of candidates), as well as the selection of relevant IT training service providers in B&H. After the promotion and the public call, the selection of candidates was carried out, the training was contracted and implemented, with full coverage of training costs for 94 participants.     MarketMakers – Helvetas Project, Support to employment of university students Advocating a new legal solution that would allow regular students to be employed in the profession for which they are educated and during their education to gain the necessary practice and regulated pension insurance for the period they work, that will later help them with employment, all with more favorable conditions than the current ones, to encourage both students and employers to enter such arrangements. A feasibility check was conducted, an analysis of the stakeholders followed by surveys and focus groups and a set of options was developed, with a focus on one that remained to be developed in co-operation with the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of Republika Srpska.     EU4B Recovery Project – Creation of a Portfolio of Local Experts and Development of business continuity plans for selected MSMEs Establishment of a pool of local business development experts, to conduct analyses of the selected MSMEs’ business operations and develop business continuity plans while providing on-site consulting services on supply chain reorganization and access to new markets, in metal and wood industry in an impact-oriented manner. The goal was to develop business continuity plans (individualized recovery plans/strategies which include recommendations for measures which should be implemented to help MSMEs ensure business continuity). Eda was overseeing and supporting the whole process with significant own contribution (two lead experts). Supported beneficiaries were later awarded grants to finance the implementation of measures needed to achieve more resilient business operations, primarily through the reorganization of the supply chain and product innovations, as well as the diversification of the client base through access to new markets.     MarketMakers – Helvetas Project -Pilot Project of Financing Mechanism for Financing IT Training with Deferred Payment Technical, advisory, organizational and implementation support was provided to MarketMakers Project in the process of establishing a financial product for IT training delivery. Mapping of IT training providers in BiH, of banks and financial organisations has been mapped out, and with the help of surveys and focus groups with youth in BiH, priorities have been defined. In partnership with the selected bank, a credit product was established for unemployed young people, supported by a specially established guarantee fund from which 60-80% of the individual user’s credit obligations were guaranteed. The pilot project was successfully completed and replicated in at least one case by IT training providers and banks that did not participate in the project.     GIZ Project „Innovations and Digitalization” – Analysis and development of a progress study for the innovation and digitalization in SMEs in B&H Project Development of a methodology and corresponding instruments (questionnaires for SMEs/service providers, structure of a progress study), followed by the development of an analysis of the status of innovation and digitalization in SMEs in B&H in Tourism, Wood processing, Metal processing and Plastic.     EC Project “Strengthening the capacity of the labour market institutions by improving labor market research methodology”. Advisory services to Labor Market Institutions in Republika Srpska Strengthened capacities of the labour market institutions, with a primary focus on the Ministry of Labor, War Veterans and Disabled Persons’ Protection of Republika Srpska and the RS Employment Institute. Support was extended also through a situation analysis conducted through external support provided to the Ministry, including a comprehensive desk review of documents relevant to an understanding and execution of the previous RS Employment Strategy. The support was delivered towards the Working Group engaged into the RS Employment Strategy development.     GIZ Program for Strengthening Public Institutions in BiH – Support to institutions on institutionalization and further development of customer satisfaction measurement function within public administration In cooperation with Transparency International BiH, a continuation of the activities implemented during the previous year (a project that provided technical assistance in the field of user satisfaction management, where the SPI Program provided expertise for PARCO and other partner institutions) was carried out. The focus of this project was to provide support to institutions on the institutionalization and further development of customer satisfaction measurement function within public administration (mentoring and advisory support and support in the development and adaptation of advanced methods – qualitative tools for measuring user satisfaction), as well as on strengthening institutional capacities for customer satisfaction measurement (support in the piloting of customer satisfaction measurement activities with training and coaching, project promotion and organization of workshops with the presentation of project results and creation of recommendations for future activities in the field of managing customer relations).     Interreg IPA CBC -Mapping and analysis of traditional industry of the City of Prijedor Mapping and analysis of traditional industries were conducted to determine the status and performance of traditional business activities in Prijedor.     MarketMakers – Helvetas Project -Creating recommendations on support measures for the development of the BPO sector in the Republika Srpska and Brčko District Based on the analysis of relevant strategic-planning documents, as well as public calls of institutions and organizations in the Republika Srpska and Brčko District of BiH, an analysis of relevant incentive measures was conducted with a focus on their relevance to support BPO service providers in acquiring new clients, as well as on support to foreign BPO companies to invest in Republika Srpska and Brcko District. In the analytical part of the activity, the case of Serbia and its good practices in this area are discussed. Based on that, a set of recommendations was created that could improve the attractiveness of Republika Srpska and Brcko District for the BPO industry.     Designing guidelines for attracting foreign investments in the municipality of Mrkonjić Grad The guidelines contain a description of the forms of FDI and their motives, a model of behaviour of foreign investors in the process of deciding on site selection, and an analysis of FDI flows in BiH by country of origin and investor activity. The guidelines present a proposal for the profile of a foreign investor that would be attractive for attraction from the angle of the Municipality of Mrkonjic Grad, with the identification of such potential investors in the appropriate databases. Also, a comparative analysis of the Municipality of Mrkonjic Grad in relation to the Municipality of Laktasi and the City of Prijedor was conducted, with a proposal of promotional means, forms and channels of communication with foreign investors, participation in relevant international competitions and communication in the post-investment phase.     Transparency International BiH – Creation of anti-corruption measures and instruments As part of the project implementation, the basic assessment of the existing anti-corruption and integrity mechanisms in public procurement was carried out, in selected localities, contracting authorities and bidders. Survey for public procurement officers, bidders and other stakeholders was prepared and carried out, in order to identify the public procurement process and challenges at the level of local communities. Synthesized findings and recommendations were prepared for the improvement of anti-corruption mechanisms in public procurement in selected LGs and SMEs. In addition, workshops and round tables were organized with selected users from SMEs, public procurement officers, civil society organizations and representatives of the business community, and appropriate brochures, manuals, guidelines and operational procedures were prepared, and adequate institutional training was provided.
