Representatives of Eda, handed over equipment for monitoring electricity consumption in industrial enterprises to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Banja Luka.
The donated equipment consists of sensors that are installed in company production facilities, enabling the monitoring of electricity consumption and more efficient energy management. The equipment is valued at around BAM 8,000.
On this occasion, Assistant Professor Dr. Miloš Ljubojević, Vice Dean for Scientific Research at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Banja Luka, emphasized:
The donated equipment will be used by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in the teaching process, scientific research work, and future cooperation with industrial enterprises aiming to improve energy efficiency. Given the excellent cooperation with the Enterprise Development Agency Eda, as well as the green transition process of industrial enterprises ahead of us, I hope there will be more similar projects in the future.
Goran Janković, READy Project Manager from Eda, stated:
As part of the READy project, sensor equipment was installed in six industrial enterprises, marking an important step in establishing an energy management system. Additionally, based on the expert system developed within the project, an assessment of the readiness of interested companies for energy transition was conducted, and recommendations were made based on improvement simulations. Considering market trends and the impact of regulatory changes, we believe that support for enterprises will be needed in the coming period. We will certainly strive to utilize the acquired experiences in future projects and hope to continue our cooperation with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and other entities that can contribute to better economic outcomes.
The equipment was procured within the project “READy – Resource Efficiency Advanced by Digitalization in Manufacturing SMEs” implemented by Eda – Agency for Enterprise Development in partnership with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Banja Luka, and the Foreign Investors Council, supported within the project “Innovations and Digitalization of Small and Medium Enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina/EU4DigitalSME”, co-financed by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ), and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
