Check out the new publications available in Eda’s Reading Room.
The first publication, “Practitioners’ Network for SME Development – Challenges and Opportunities“, presents the results of two complementary studies. The first study examined the interest and motivation of private providers of advisory support services in forming a community/network of practitioners, as well as explored possible models of mediation between users and providers of business services through the organization of such a network. The second study is a kind of continuation of the first, investigating the attitudes and opinions of company experts—what they think about the idea of connecting/networking consultants and company professionals as a response to the growing challenges faced by SMEs, whether they are professionally and personally interested in participating, and, if so, what they expect from others and from themselves in future collaboration. The publication can be downloaded in the local language here.
The next publication, “Monitoring and Evaluation – Approaches and Improvements“, presents the voucher program implemented by Eda, with adaptations, within three projects: CREDO Krajina, SBA in BiH, and SBA in BiH2EU. It particularly addresses topics related to monitoring, including an overview of concepts (Project Cycle Management – PCM, Capacity Works, Agile/SCRUM, Weak Signals, Outcome Harvesting, and Cynefin) whose application could improve monitoring practices. It also discusses reporting, providing an overview of the links between monitoring and reporting, and finally evaluation, offering possible new perspectives on the implemented project, such as the Smiling Curve concept. The publication concludes with ideas for improvements. The publication is available in the local language and it can be downloaded here.
In the third publication, “Support for the Development of Quality Infrastructure in BiH and the Introduction of Standards in SMEs: Overview and Lessons Learned within the SBA Projects in BiH and SBA in BiH2EU” an overview is provided of several forms of support and projects through which Eda, within the projects European Small Business Act as a Framework for SME Strategies and Policies in BiH – SBA in BiH and Advanced Implementation of the Small Business Act BiH2EU – SBA in BiH2EU, financed by Sweden, supported the improvement of the quality infrastructure system in BiH, with a primary focus on the needs of SMEs. The publication can be downloaded in the local language here.
All publications were prepared within the framework of the project “Advanced Implementation of the Small Business Act in BiH2EU – SBA in BiH2EU,” implemented by Eda in cooperation with the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA, and funded by Sweden.
