Eda and Institute for standardization of B&H participated in the BIM4Gov project kickoff meeting in Barcelona

On September 16, the kickoff meeting of the BIM4Gov project was held in Barcelona, with the participation of Eda, as one of the partners, and the Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as the associated policy authority. During the meeting, partners had the opportunity to get to know each other better and discuss project implementation in each of the participating countries. After that they had an opportunity to visit Supercomputer in Barcelona.

The following day, on September 17, a conference dedicated to the use of BIM (Building Information Model) and the BIM4Gov project was organized at the premises of the Government of Catalonia.

The event was opened by Jaume Baró Torres, Secretary for Economy in the Government of Catalonia. More insights on BIM were shared by Jaan Saar and Judith Fauth, experts in the field of BIM and electronic permits, while two panel sessions took place during the day. The first panel, led by BIM experts from Catalonia, discussed the current state of BIM technology, while the second gathered project partners from different countries. Eda’s representative took part in the second panel, where, together with partners from Spain, Ireland, Poland, Hungary, and Estonia, he discussed the state and future challenges of BIM use in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The event was concluded by Pol Gibert Horcas, Secretary for Labor in the Government of Catalonia, who emphasized the importance of future cooperation among all project participants.

The BIM4Gov project, within the Interreg Europe program, aims to contribute to the transformation of workflows in the field of digital permits in public administration through the application of BIM technology.
