As part of the BEST-DIH project, a study visit was organized in Tampere, Finland, on October 7–8, 2025, with the aim of exchanging knowledge on how Digital Innovation Hubs (DIHs) can enhance their operations and sustainability. The study visit was linked to the Future Mobile Work Machine event, which this year focused on the theme “Data as a Driver of New Value,” exploring how data, artificial intelligence, and related technologies generate new value for end users and the entire value chain.
The program began with registration and introductory remarks, followed by organized visits to institutions providing technological support and various companies. The second day featured a more content-rich seminar component. The morning session was dedicated to the role of data as a driver of new value from several perspectives: multilateral use of data in the customer value chain, data as fuel for artificial intelligence and increased autonomy, and the importance of connectivity, edge computing, and cyber resilience for the secure and effective use of data. In the afternoon, the regional approach to digital strategy in the Tampere region was presented, along with examples of best practices.
The study visit facilitated the exchange of experiences and identification of potential for future collaboration among the BEST DIH project partners, which include organizations from Spain (Galicia Innovation Agency), Hungary (Pannon Business Network Association), the Netherlands (Province of Overijssel), Finland (Council of Tampere Region), Italy (ART-ER Joint Stock Consortium Company, Emilia-Romagna), Romania (West Regional Development Agency – West RDA), and Bosnia and Herzegovina (Eda – Enterprise Development Agency).
The BEST DIH project is implemented under the Interreg Europe program, funded by the European Union.
