In cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republika Srpska and Eda, the East Sarajevo City Development Agency is through a Public Call for submission of applications for the introduction of innovations in SMEs from the area of the city of East Sarajevo, as part of the voucher program from the Support Mechanism implementation of SME development strategies (SIEM), selected five companies that will be provided with technical support in the introduction of innovations.
The process of introducing innovations in the following companies from the textile, wood processing, food and electrical industry sectors is underway: LIV d.o.o., Mahagoni d.o.o., Zlatno zrneno Ostojić d.o.o., Poljoprom d.o.o. and Elko d.o.o. The total value of this program is KM 75.000, while individual values for companies amount from KM 4.000 to a maximum of KM 14000.
The projects are intended to provide selected SMEs with expert support for the introduction of innovations by improving existing or developing new products, services or processes, including digitization and innovations in the field of marketing. Projects such as: optimization of business processes, technological process design, application of quality tools, introduction of software for records, digitalization of production of ready-made mixtures for domestic animals, and application of digital marketing with a focus on promotion and use of online platforms and online sales channels were supported.
The topic of the project “Introducing innovations in SMEs within the framework of the voucher program” is aligned with the recommendations of the Small Business Act and the SME Policy Index 2020 (dimension 8b) and was determined as a priority in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska. This project is supported within the project “Advanced implementation of the Small Business Act BiH2EU – SBA in BiH2EU” which is implemented by Eda in cooperation with the Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency SERDA and financed by Sweden.
