On the occasion of launching the SPRING programme, we are publishing the blog “Squaring the Circle Symphony” by Zdravko Miovčić, Director of Eda.
The text offers a concise reflection on nearly 15 years of Eda’s work with SMEs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, tracing how our approach has evolved in response to a complex institutional environment, market constraints, and the real needs of companies. From aligning policies and perspectives within a fragmented system, through taking on the role of facilitator and moderator of networks and interactions, to working under conditions of uncertainty and shifting the focus toward higher value creation and resilience, the blog explains how our tools and roles have continuously evolved together with the context.
Eda’s key strength lies in the simultaneous understanding of the global challenges faced by SMEs and in deep, non-transferable knowledge of what changes are actually possible in the context of Bosnia and Herzegovina – and how. This combination enables us to translate global concepts, policies, and tools into realistic, applicable interventions tailored to the local context.
The blog also introduces SPRING as the natural outcome of this journey: a programme that connects innovation, smart and sustainable transition, knowledge, and collaboration, with the aim of strengthening the resilience and competitiveness of export-oriented SMEs in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We invite you to read the blog and connect with us and with others — the network is open.
