The introductory meeting of the stakeholder group for the BIM4Gov – Building Information Models for complex economic procedures project was held in Banja Luka, gathering representatives of institutions, development agencies, universities, and companies.
Eda presented the project’s objectives, planned activities, and the results of a baseline survey on the use of BIM in BiH among private companies, public administration, and technical faculties. The Institute for Standardization of Bosnia and Herzegovina (ISBIH) outlined the legal framework and its role in adopting EN/ISO standards as BAS standards, announcing that new BIM standards will be systematically integrated into the Standardisation Adoption Plan for 2025–2027. Companies Aprolitic and Altera shared practical experiences with BIM implementation, while the participants highlighted the need for targeted training and the adaptation of education programmes to narrow the skills gap between market needs and available competencies.
In the coming period, project partners will identify and exchange good practices in BIM application and work on reviewing and improving relevant policy instruments in BiH, including the standardisation adoption plan.
BIM4Gov is implemented under the Interreg Europe programme and co-financed by the European Union. The project aims to support the development of BIM-based solutions for a smarter and more efficient public sector.
