Eda representatives participated in the forum “How to achieve economic competitiveness in the Western Balkans by 2030”, organized in Berlin by the Aspen Institute on March 6th and 7th, 2019. Twenty-five representatives of think tank organizations from Germany, Austria, Serbia, Northern Macedonia and BiH participated the forum, as well as representatives of OECD and Division for EU-Enlargement in German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
At the forum, perspectives and economic development of the Western Balkans were discussed, key drivers of change, as well as global, regional and sectoral trends. In line with this, the participants worked on foresight – scenario development as well as assumptions that must be fulfilled in order to achieve the best scenario.
Representatives of Eda participated in development of scenarios for development of the furniture and automotive industry in the Western Balkans.
