A workshop titled “SMEs in digitalization processes in energy management” was held at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Banja Luka. The workshop was attended by about 30 representatives of companies from various sectors, as well as representatives from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska.
The workshop highlighted the importance of energy auditing and energy management for industrial enterprises, presenting the possibilities of using sensors when introducing digital solutions in energy management. Discussions also covered the requirements and benefits of incorporating digital solutions into energy management processes within business operations. Special attention was given to business decision-making, where Zdravko Miovčić, director of Eda, presented ESET READY, the expert system to support investment decision-making in energy management, developed within the project.
The workshop is organized within the project “READy – Resource Efficiency Advanced by Digitalization in Manufacturing SMEs” implemented by Eda – Agency for Enterprise Development in partnership with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Banja Luka, and the Foreign Investors Council, supported within the project “Innovations and Digitalization of Small and Medium Enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina/EU4DigitalSME”, co-financed by the European Union and the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMZ), and implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
