The Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina has successfully implemented the project “Improvement of the Work of the Institute of Metrology of BiH through the Development of a Digital Network between Authorized Metrology Laboratories and the Establishment of a Secondary Level Measurement Infrastructure for Calibration.”
Within the scope of the project, modern equipment was procured to establish a system for calibration and testing of photovoltaic cells and panels, and a digital network was established for keeping records of the verification of measuring devices performed by designated laboratories.
The digitalization of records and the strengthening of measurement infrastructure contribute to more efficient, transparent, and accurate work of laboratories, enabling faster access to reliable information on the status of measuring devices. This creates the preconditions for better alignment of SMEs with international market requirements and increased competitiveness.
By implementing this project, Eda continues its practice of strengthening key quality infrastructure institutions that directly contribute to the improvement of Dimension 7 (Standards and Technical Regulations) and Dimension 10 (SME Internationalization) within the Small Business Act (SBA).
The total value of the project, which was funded through grant support, amounted to BAM 106,313.14. The project was implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH and the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA.
This project was carried out as part of the activities of the project “Advanced Implementation of the Small Business Act in BiH2EU – SBA in BiH2EU,” implemented by Eda – Enterprise Development Agency in cooperation with the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA and financed by Sweden.
