Company “Elko” Ltd from East Sarajevo is one of five SMEs, beneficiaries of the voucher program from the Strategy Implementation Enabling Mechanism (SIEM). The company’s production program includes static and microprocessor protection relays, command-relay cabinets with static and microprocessor protection, relay cabinets with microprocessor protection, SCADA systems, signalling cabinets, DC and AC distribution cabinets, cabinets for pole substations, cabinets for domestic and residential connections etc.
“We applied for the public call for introducing innovations primarily because the company needed consulting support in the process of recording business data and business documents. Having timely and accurate information in the production process, such as for example the state of materials in the warehouse, enables us to better plan production and prevents possible stoppages caused by lack of materials.
Thanks to the implemented digital solutions, the management of the company now has better insight into the necessary information and can make adequate business decisions based on that,” said company owner Mr. Novak Stanišić.
The project for introducing innovations in SMEs in the area of East Sarajevo is implemented by the East Sarajevo City Development Agency in cooperation with Eda and the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska.
The topic of the project “Introducing innovations in SMEs within the framework of the voucher program” is aligned with the recommendations of the Small Business Act and the SME Policy Index 2020 (dimension 8b) and has been identified as a priority in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska. This project is supported within the framework of the project “Advanced implementation of the Small Business Act BiH2EU – SBA in BiH2EU” which is implemented by Eda in cooperation with the Sarajevo Economic Region Development Agency SERDA and financed by Sweden.
