BIM4Gov Project tackles one of the big digital transformation challenges in public administration: turning complex, manual procedures into smart, automated processes using Building Information Modelling (BIM).
BIM4Gov aims to change that by:
- Standardizing data models across regulatory fields
- Automating reviews for high-impact business and construction permits
- Reducing bureaucracy and improving business competitiveness
The BIM4Gov project is being implemented within the framework of the Interreg Europe programme, funded by the European Union, and runs from May 1, 2025, to July 31, 2029. During this period, the partners will work together to exchange experiences, identify best practices, and develop recommendations for integrating the BIM approach into public policies and governance processes.
Six partners are participating in the project:
- Office of Business Management (Spain) – Lead Partner
- City of Tallinn (Estonia)
- Rzeszow Regional Development Agency (Poland)
- University of Limerick (Ireland)
- Vas County Government Office (Hungary)
- Eda – Enterprise Development Agency (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
The Partner’s Meeting will take place on September 16th, followed by the official Kick-off event in Barcelona on September 17th. The aim of this event is to discuss all things BIM, share insights, present and set the roadmap for the next phases of the BIM4Gov project.
