On Friday, August 9, 2024, Eda organized the final conference of the READy project titled “Application of digital solutions in energy management: Experiences of industrial companies, here and now.”
The conference was attended by over 30 representatives from companies, the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of the Republic of Srpska, the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of the Republic of Srpska, the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Srpska, the Development Agency of the Republic of Srpska, the Development Agency of the City of Prijedor, the Innovation Center Banja Luka, GIZ, the Interreg VI-A IPA Cross-border Cooperation Program Croatia-Bosnia and Herzegovina-Montenegro, and the media.
At the conference, the results of the READy project were presented, including the experiences of companies that, with the project’s support, installed appropriate sensors to monitor electricity consumption in production facilities, as well as the experiences of experts and the possibilities offered by such solutions. Additionally, the results of the SenseMaker survey, which involved 50 companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina, were presented. The survey focused on the challenges these companies face in the area of more effective and efficient energy use in production and business operations.
Considering that industrial companies are facing new challenges in the energy sector, participants believe that the project’s experiences are valuable, and that similar initiatives and projects should continue in the future.
