Eda, in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, organized a roundtable on the topic “How to Enhance Women’s Participation and Introduce Gender-Sensitive Policies in Public Procurement in BiH”.
The roundtable brought together representatives of the Public Procurement Agency of BiH, the Chamber of Commerce of the Federation of BiH, the Chamber of Commerce of the Republika Srpska, the Chamber of Commerce of Brčko District BiH, the Association of Business Women in BiH, the Association Women for Women International, the NGO sector, as well as female entrepreneurs and business owners.
During the discussion, findings from the recently published study “Gender-Responsive Public Procurement in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Status and Perspectives” were presented. Participants discussed the study’s findings, and the recommendations provided for improving the public procurement system in line with European standards and best practices. They agreed that the recommendations offer a good base for advancing this area in the coming period.
The roundtable was organized as part of the project “Enhancing Women’s Participation and Gender-Sensitive Policies in Public Procurement at the Local Level in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, implemented by Eda and funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI).
