Seven New CNC Programmers Certified in East Sarajevo

As part of the “Step to Employment” project, the training program for CNC programmers has been successfully completed. Seven successful participants received certificates upon finishing the three-month course.

The training consisted of 240 hours of theoretical and practical instruction, organized with the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Srpska and the Institute for Adult Education. The goal of this program is to enhance the skills of unemployed individuals, facilitate their entry into the labor market, and create new opportunities.

The training was free of charge for unemployed individuals and was conducted by professors from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in East Sarajevo. New public calls are planned for courses in the fields of mechatronics, production management, and CNC wood processing.

The “Step to Employment” project is implemented by the East Sarajevo City Development Agency – RAIS in cooperation with eight partners, one of which is Eda – Enterprise Development Agency.

The Local Employment Partnership of East Sarajevo is one of 20 such partnerships established across Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the project “European Union Support to Local Employment Partnerships – Phase II” (LEP II), funded by the European Union with 4 million euros and implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO). The project aims to improve employment in local communities and enhance the skills and job prospects of disadvantaged individuals through local employment partnerships.
