Training for greater inclusion of women in public procurement in Tešanj

In cooperation with the Association of Businesswomen SHE, representatives and associates of Eda conducted the fifth one-day training on public procurement for female entrepreneurs and women in business at the premises of the Municipality of Tešanj. The goal of this training was to further empower women entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses to increase their participation in public procurement processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

During the training, participants learned about the basic steps in public procurement procedures, legal and administrative requirements, as well as examples of bid preparation and participation in procurement processes. Through an interactive workshop and practical exercises, participants acquired concrete knowledge necessary for successful engagement in public procurement procedures. Further collaboration with these participants is expected through mentoring support, which some of them have expressed interest in.

The training was funded by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) through the project “Enhancing Women’s Participation and Gender-Sensitive Policies in Public Procurement at the Local Level in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, implemented by Eda.
