The third meeting of the Working group for drafting the Quality infrastructure strategy in Bosnia and Herzegovina was held on May 22-23, 2024, in Teslić, in a hybrid format. The Working group comprises 43 members from relevant institutions at the BiH level, both entities, the Federation of BiH and the Republic of Srpska, and the Brčko District of BiH.
During the two-day meeting, the first version of the priorities for achieving strategic goals was established. After detailed discussions, the Working group proposed measures for realizing these priorities and identified an initial list of strategic projects. Additionally, an initial version of indicators for monitoring the implementation of priority measures and strategic projects was established.
This has completed a significant portion of the work in the programming phase of the Quality infrastructure strategy in BiH with high quality, with the full agreement of all present Working group members and those who participated online.
The development and adoption of the quality infrastructure strategy in Bosnia and Herzegovina are of particular importance, as it represents one of the still unfulfilled recommendations from the European Commission’s annual progress reports on BiH, within Chapter 1: Free movement of goods.
The process of developing this strategy is supported by the project “Advanced implementation of the Small Business Act in BiH2EU – SBA in BiH2EU,” implemented by Eda in cooperation with the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA, and financed by Sweden.
