As part of the implementation of the project “Energy Transition in the Industry of BiH – ETI4BiH,” the Center for Sustainable Energy Transition Reset organized a final conference on the topic “Technical support in the field of energy efficiency and energy management in SMEs in BiH.”
The conference was held on May 24, 2024, in Gračanica, with participation from company directors, energy audit experts, and representatives of chambers of commerce, financial institutions, Reset and Eda.
At the conference, the activities conducted within the ETI4BiH project to provide technical support to SMEs in BiH for energy transition were presented. These activities include organizing preliminary energy audits, introducing the ISO 50001 – Light energy management system tailored to the needs of SMEs in BiH, and developing conceptual energy transition projects for SMEs resulting from the preliminary energy audits.
The conference also introduced the first Energy Transition Network in the Industry of Bosnia and Herzegovina (METI Network), which is adapted to the current needs and capacities of SMEs and will address broader aspects of decarbonization, including energy efficiency, energy management, energy monitoring, and the use of renewable energy sources.
The implementation of these project activities contributes to the improvement of dimension 9 of the economic profile of BiH in the implementation of the Small Business Act, which relates to “SMEs in the green economy.”
The conference was supported through the project “Advanced Implementation of the Small Business Act in BiH2EU – SBA in BiH2EU,” implemented by Eda in cooperation with the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA and financed by Sweden.
