An agreement was signed with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of East Sarajevo, which should implement the project “Accreditation of testing methods for metal materials and products made of metal materials – ASIMA”.
The project envisages the accreditation of several methods in the field of control, testing and certification of metal structures and materials, with special emphasis on welded joints. For the implementation of the mentioned activities, the procurement of machines for ultrasonic testing of metal materials and products, microscopes, as well as machines for polishing and cutting samples with external cooling is planned.
By accrediting the methods of testing metal materials and products, the laboratory of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in East Sarajevo will be able to provide high-quality services to SMEs from the metal processing sector, which will also contribute to increasing their competitiveness.
For the implementation of the project has been allocated BAM 88,000 and the project will be implemented in the next six months.
The project will be implemented within the project “European framework for the development of strategies and policies for small and medium enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina – SBA in BiH”, which is funded by Sweden.
