The second meeting of the Export-oriented Industrial Innovation Network was held in the premises of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Banja Luka. About 25 participants were present – directors of companies in the field of metal processing, wood processing and IT sector, representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska, the Ministry of Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of Republika Srpska, the Chamber of Commerce of Republika Srpska and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering.
The Center for Support to Enterprises of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was presented at the meeting, with a focus on the introduction of innovations. Also, students’ ideas for new products were presented. Information was exchanged on new technologies and the challenges of their introduction in companies. Possibilities of cooperation between faculties and companies were also discussed. Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska informed the participants of the meeting that the Action Plan for Innovation in SMEs in the Republic of Srpska for the period 2021-2023 was adopted, which was discussed at the first meeting where participants provided suggestions, as well as about the new projects that are being prepared.
The tour of the laboratories of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering was especially interesting when the directors of the companies and representatives of the institutions were presented with the equipment that the faculty has at its disposal and the possibilities for cooperation.
