Representatives of the BiH Institute for Standardization and Eda have signed the contract for the implementation of the project “Improving the availability of technical standards for SMEs in BiH”. The project was jointly defined on the basis of conducted SMEs’ situation and needs analysis with the aim to facilitate access to priority technical standards.
Within the project, technical standards from the priority list will be translated and the website of the BiH Institute for Standardization will be redesigned in order to facilitate access and downloading of technical standards in an electronic form. BiH Institute for standardization will implement the procedure for the adoption of translated technical standards. The contract stipulates that, on the basis of legally defined competencies, the project implementer will be the BiH Institute for Standardization, while part of the procurement activities will be implemented by Eda.
The estimated budget for the implementation of project activities is KM 55.000.
The project is being implemented within the project “European Small Business Act as a Framework for Strategies and Policies for SMEs in BiH – SBA in BiH” with the aim of strengthening and developing of the Mechanisms to support the implementation of SME development strategies.
The project is funded by Sweden through the Swedish International Development and Cooperation Agency (Sida).
