An agreement on the accreditation of methods for testing the hardness of materials has been signed with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering

An agreement was signed with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka today, regarding the implementation of the project “Improvement of the capacity of the Center for Accredited Laboratories through procurement of equipment and accreditation of methods for testing material hardness.”

The project envisages an increase in the scope of accredited methods of the Center for one method and two measuring areas, which would complete the service for qualification of welding technology according to EN ISO 15614-1, and accreditation of methods for testing the hardness of metal materials according to EN ISO 6507-1 and EN ISO 17025 by the Institute for accreditation of B&H. For the realization of the mentioned activities, the procurement of devices for measuring the hardness of metal materials by the Vickers method is planned. This would create preconditions for wider and more successful cooperation with companies from the metal processing sector of BiH.

The project will be implemented in the next six months, while BAM 84.470 has been allocated for its realization.

The project is implemented within the project “European framework for the development of strategies and policies for small and medium enterprises in Bosnia and Herzegovina – SBA in BiH”, which is funded by Sweden.
