Six companies (two from wood processing, two from food industry, one from metal industry and one from leather and footwear industry) have applied for a public call for expression of interest for companies in Prnjavor regarding training of new employees within the project “Partnership for quality jobs and competitiveness”. The companies have expressed a need for recruitment of 68 workers during 2017 and 2018. Out of this, the largest number of new employment is planned in metal industry (29), followed by wood processing industry (16), food industry (13) and footwear industry (10 persons).
Unemployed persons from Prnjavor will be supported through financing of training aimed at acquiring skills in those areas for which companies have expressed their interest. The aim of the training is acquiring specific skills necessary for work in industry for 75 unemployed persons, in order to, after completion of training, create conditions for employment of at least 50 unemployed persons in companies that need new workers.
The project is funded under the project Support to Local Employment Partnerships in Bosnia and Herzegovina, funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Labor Organization (ILO).
