Within the SBA project in BiH, the third project for the development of women’s entrepreneurship in the Brčko District of BiH was implemented. As part of the project “Green Entrepreneurship as a Support to the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Brcko District”, the participants, in addition to topics related to entrepreneurship, were introduced to legislation and opportunities to start their own businesses and funding sources. After the training in the field of project management, project proposals for environmentally friendly activities were prepared.
In addition, the Participants were provided with a Handbook to support the development of “green” entrepreneurship, which contains examples from practice and selected stories „with a soul”, which can be an inspiration for women entrepreneurs. Successful entrepreneurs held motivational speeches sharing their business experiences. Gathered entrepreneurs launched an initiative to form an association.
The project was implemented by NVO “Initiative for Quality and Sustainable Development – IKOR” Banja Luka in partnership with NVO “Demos” Brcko District and in cooperation with the Department for Economic Development, Sports and Culture of Brcko District BiH. About BAM 20,000 was spent for its implementation from the funds of the Mechanism for Support of the Implementation of SME Development Strategies (SIEM).
The implementation of the project ” Green Entrepreneurship as a Support to the Development of Women’s Entrepreneurship in the Brcko District” is supported by the project “European Small Business Act as a Framework for Strategies and Policies for SMEs in BiH – SBA in BiH”, funded by Sweden.
