Strengthening interactions between companies and support institutions, a key factor in improving innovations

Having in mind the importance of innovations for development of the economy, business opportunities offered by the green economy, as well as the importance of harmonization of strategic and operational plans of relevant institutions and organizations, Eda and the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska organized together a workshop “Overview of support activities for SMEs regarding innovations and green economy”. The workshop was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Entrepreneurship of Republika Srpska, the Ministry for Scientific and Technological Development, Higher Education and Information Society of Republika Srpska, faculties, development agencies, the Chamber of Commerce of RS, the Crafts and Entrepreneurship Chamber of RS and international organizations operating in BiH.

Participants of the workshop presented activities on current and planned activities of the institution / organization they represent and obtained relevant information on activities of other stakeholders, aimed at better coordination and networking in the upcoming period. During the discussion participants emphasized importance of continual interaction with SME and among support institutions.

The findings of the workshop will be used in preparation of relevant planning documents focused on economic development of Republika Srpska.

The workshop was held within the project “European Small Business Act as a framework of SME strategies and policies in BiH – SBA in BiH” which is funded by Sida through the Embassy of Sweden in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
