As a part of the process of drafting of the SME Development Strategy in Zenica for the period 2021-2027, a workshop was held with the aim to draft the strategic part of the document. The workshop was attended by over 20 participants, including representatives of the Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts of the Federation of BiH, the Federal Institute for Development Programming, the Department for Development and International Projects of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Chamber of Commerce of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Employers Group of the Zenica-Doboj Canton as a part of the Association of Employers of the Federation of BiH, the Regional Development Agency REZ, the City of Zenica, the Zenica Development Agency ZEDA, the Association of Employers in Zenica, and the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Zenica. The key issues of SME development in Zenica were discussed, with a synthesis of the findings related to SMEs situation in Zenica, which is presented through the Systemic competitiveness framework.
The SME Development Strategy in Zenica for the period 2021-2027 is being prepared in accordance with the Standardized Methodology for Strategic Planning and Management of SME Development. The methodology was developed within the project “European Small Business Act as a Framework for Strategies and Policies for SMEs in Bosnia and Herzegovina – SBA in BiH”, funded by Sida through the Embassy of Sweden in B&H.
